| 5. Remove
the trunk lining on the driver's side of the trunk, by the wheel well. You will uncover
the anti-theft alarm module. To the right of the module, you will find the center
brake light harness. Unclip the harness for ease of use, and cut the green/red wire
after the connection harness. Your center brake light wire might not be long enough
to work with after this cut, so I just got some exta wire and used a bud connector to
lengthen the shorter end. |

|
| After that, you want to cut around a
four foot long piece of wire (enough to reach the driver side brake light wires at the
tailgate). Then, you want to splice the two ends of the center brake light feed
together again, along with one end of the wire you just cut. |
6. If you can read the text in the picture below, it basically explains what to do
for this step. Anyway, after splicing the extra wire with the center brake
light wire, feed the wire to the driver side brake light harness. Cut one of
the two green/red wires on the top of the harness (the side heading out to the
taillights). Cap off the short end of the wire coming out of the harness to prevent
arching, you will not need that feed anymore. Next, cut another piece of wire about
5 feet long to feed from the driver side brake light to the passenger side. Then,
splice one end of the wire you just cut (for the passenger side feed), along with the
center brake light feed and the other end of the green/red wire (the end heading out to
the taillights).

7. After you splice the three wires together at the
driver's side taillight, feed the other end of the wire you just cut, to the passenger
side. You will need to remove the center trunk lining piece by removing the four
plastic screws. You need to do that to put the center brake light feed wire behind
it, so you don't see it. Next, cut one of the two (orange dominant color this
time) wires, capping off the short end coming out of the harness to prevent arching.
Then splice the center brake light feed wire with the other end of the wire, the
one heading out to the taillights.
