It all depends on what you are looking for,,somepeople look for sound,,other prefer power..
I prefer the most power and the least sound possible..
Everyone has different styles which is why there are so many styles of mufflers.

Same here; right where the SPL and backpressure curves cross. Refer to the top of this thread; you can calculate where your choice falls.

i agree hot rod....i like performance, but i don't want wake the neighbors loud. which is why i like my superturbos, but i would like something just a tad more throaty when i get on it, i like my sound at idle.

OPEN EXHAUST!!!!!!!!!!! I got wake up the entire town exhaust lmao. I cut off my stock exhaust just before the mufflers and clamped on two elbows facing out to the side and two 24'' straight pipes exit just before the rear tires. loud as can be !! I love to hear the pipes ring off of the trees driving to and from classes :hyper:

Another Dynomax Ultra Flo owner here. With no more changes than these in 2.5" with same size tails and a o/rd X pipe my bone stock 91 LX picked up CONSIDERABLY. And has to be the quietest car with an off road X on it I've ever heard. They're stealthy and after seeing this thread it confirms my choice!

Let us know how it sounds compared to stock with the Bassani X. Did you get the catted X?

Off Road X, baby! With 2.5 mandrel bent stainless pipes. I should be able to get a sound clip off my camera.

Magnaflow has a stainless X, but it's damn pricey.

No, they don't have an off road X pipe, which is what I am looking for. I thought they did because it is listed on a lot of sites as a o/r X with fitment from 79-04. Yeah, well what they mean is 96-04. They have nothing for 79-93 or 86-93 or whatever. That leaves me with Bassani. Unless you can find one and prove me wrong....

I like the way your system sounds. I wish I could find a stainless H-pipe.
