Cobra Upper - don't know if I will POWDER COAT and spend the $35 for a new plaque, or try to paint?

STILL didn't have time to complete the brakes. But what I have so far. I will be REMOUNTING the APV to the underside and probably new line as well - I don't think I like the APV hanging up so far and the line bend like that - going to use 90* out instead to make more room for header install and make it look even extra cleaner.

The car in the dark as of now....ugly.

Got the brakes completed (accept 4" of 1/4" line from the APV to the 1/4 rear line)
I wanted clean looking and did my damnest to find 90* fucking deggree invertered flare fittings and Napa nor Oriely's had them.....so fuck it, this is what it looks like.
Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted ImagePosted Image

If I was able to find 90* 3/16 and a 90* 1/4 I could have shoot from the front port straight over to the APV and been hella clean, and then stright up from the brass TEE up to the mid port....but NO, they are fucks and don't sell these items. I will search for them today, just in case they are close and don't need to be shipped from BFE!

The car to date....not much changed
- Removed Rad support - this parts is flimsy as hell, and was a sawzall blade away from complete clean removal.
- Started MAF conversion.

Baby is comming any day, so project is deffinetly not happening this summer. :(

WIthout the 90* I think I will just see if I can take the knob off.......but you are right, I am affraid of tampering....but on the other hand...it does show off nicely.

Are you done yet? My old car is in your neck of the woods, in Overland Park. He definitely needs to make it go faster.

I finaly completed the Booste/MC and bleed the lines and all. First time it has been able to STOP under it's own peddle for a few months.

I did notice that I had the peddle at the FLOOR damn near before the car stopped....so either there is more air or there is some adjusting to do.

What is the technique at unscrewing the little plunger on the brake rod?

Specs Changed a little after more confirmation.

Quote

Engine:
5.8/351W, .04+ = 358ci TRUE ROLLER (1994)
Alignhoned, decked, galleys opened, new bearings/freeze plugs
LONGROD - 400M shotpeened rods
Foctory crank turned/shotpeened
Probe pistons custom (10.5:1)
Holley Systemax Heads (2.02, 1.60) ported to 1262 FelPro, 5 angle valve job w/Stud mount 1.6RR
GT40 honed/ported lower to 1262 FelPro
351 TFI Distributor w/Steel gear
Foxswap pan w/baffle
FMS stock flow oil pump

Things NEEDED:
PORTED COBRA or GT40 Tubular?
36# MAF?
36# Injectors
CAM!?

Engine has some dyno time on it from some boys in Nebraska, Currently has E-303 cam and with ROUSH 200 heads it FWHP was 420.

I am intrested in Ported Cobra or GT40 Tubular as the intake cause it is a street only, daily driver, emphisis on handeling and sport. Also a SHOW car.

I am thinking XE274HR or TFS Stg II cam with that intake choice.....I have been told to go short runner aftermarket or box upper.

I just thought I would combine the most accurate specs for more educated decisions.

Comments from here would be super!
