are you willing to sell you k-member? rodney keeps putting us on the back burner. now he states 3months before he can even pull up the plans for it, and then starting would be even longer. told his secretary(who ever answers the phone)that we've been on hold already for a year now. but anywho do you wanna sell that k-member?

Put about 8 hours into the DarkVII over the weekend...freind stopped by and was like hey, lets work on this...I said okya. When we where done I had
-short belt route with no ac or smog
-no more 1" intake spacer
-new valve covers (no more tall covers)
-3/4 drop engine mounts
-adj fuel pressure regulator
-moved engine harness to the inside of the fuel rails not outside (looks way better)
-and broken trans tail housing (cross thread
next up, wire the MSD, wire the front clip, replace tailhousing, cut off fucking TURBO mufflers - get a dyno tune!

Finally got it back to running order
Here are some updated shots.
Moved the coil to the drivers side along with the MSD
routed the heat lines UNDER the block instead of on top (looks way nicer)
removed the AC, got a short belt setup - this belt setup doesn;t work with 302, only 351 with 302 stuff on it

Looks like the work is finally paying off.
What kind of clearance do you have on the oil pan? Is it a 351w fox pan or a stock mark pan? I was thinking it might be money better spent to get the tube k-member if it will work with the stock pan. The fox 351 pans are about $150, Im thinking for not much more i can get the tube k-member and shed some weight and gain come clearance for other stuff too. But if you had to run a 351 pan, i might jsut go that route and skip the tube k for the time being.

It is a swap pan so I was told, and even after dropping I can fit my fingers between the lower memeber and the pan.
Not sure you can use the stock pan due to bolt pattern, as that is why the swap pan was invented.
However the f150 pan is pretty close I am told, or maybe the crown vic might be worth checking out.
I LOVE MY TUBE K, best thing so far I have done, MUCH cleaner look, HELLA room to work on stuff and fit headers, ect.
I dropped my engine 3/4" at least with no steering interfearance. However the BBK swap headers DID have a purbose built dent in the side of them that matches my steering angle, good for that.

FINALLY tore apart the parts car and scrapped it.
I have all the last remaining brackets and bolts to fit the front clip.
...But...now I need an alternator rebuilt due to a idiot move when I left the hood laying on the starter relay for 3 days...battery toast, alt not charging.

I took some time to look at the pics you've posted. I Love the way you have cleaned out the engine bay. That looks so clean.
So will the inner fender liners be enough to protect the wiring you've moved or are there more plans to protect the wiring etc from road grime?

I need to take some pics.
I got the front clip completely assembled,
Made myself some 2.5" drop brackets for the sway bar.
Found out I have the 86 TC front bar so it is too damn short...but appears it will work just fine.
Sway is .5" lower than my custom K, so at least if something comes up, it will take that out first!
hooked up lights, wiper assembly, lined up the fenders/hood best I could by myself.
Regret pulling the fancy lower windshield "pretty" that covers the lower glue of the windshield - the wipers scrap accross it when they come down....well i pulled it without taking the window trim off...so it is bent a little and the wipers don;t like that.
Found out the delay function doesn;t work, but the wiper park function does. I know what that means...STALK!
I upgraded to a chrome stalk from a town car once in my silver LSC - PITA but it didn;t cost me anything.
ran the squirter lines up from the cowl instead of from the BAY - looks like they rub the line a little when the wipers are in motion.
TIME TO GET A TUNE, and work out some Interior bugs - like ripping the damn tripminder out in loo-of gauges. Find out how the aftermarket moon will function, door locks, window motors....POP some bulbs that will not go away (BRAKE and AIR BAG - both functions do not exist any longer)
Hoping for over 400hp, with torque over the HP number - it is a long rod after all.
After that....not sure the tires will last long....at least the passenger side rear....stupid open dif....it will go way soon enough.
And of course after I drive it a little to even know if I want to keep it...I will start slapping the custom rear suspension in.
Only little thing I feel like I will have to resolve before I do toooooo much driving is the bumpsteer...it wants to grab any hole in the road and take you for a ride! I hope, maybe, the sway bar (never installed) now might help with that. We will see.

Great news Dan.
Im sure once you grab a foot full of throttle you will be grinning ear to ear and hopefully will change your mind about parting with it.
My car looks like shit but I always get asked what it is and get reminded how cool it is to see something other than a mustang. I vote you keep it.
Also please keep us posted on the bumpsteer issue. After i did the SN95 swap i too have bad bumpsteer. What products have you been looking at? I have my eye on the UPR kit for sheer simplicity. If i need to i'll go with a solid aluminum offset rack bushing after the rod end.

The anti-sway bar should help if only by reducing the FLCA deflection. I would have thought that your custom K-member would have taken bunpsteer into consideration. Do the tie rods point up or down to the spindles when the car is at rest with a normal load?

The above assumes correct alignment, particularly toe-in.

DYNO complete
not very impressive, 326hp, 380tq curve from 2500-5000, drops of pretty sharp after that....either no air or no spring...not sure yet.
Sucks though I have a 4k stall...LITERALLY only have 1000 rpm of power to play with - time to deeeestall
Or find that power to 6000.

Exahust with flowmaster 50 series going on today, all custom from header back
new windsheild, inspection, licence, insurance by monday!!!
7 years, and still not done...only front end done.

Congrats Dan! I haven't been nearly so ambitious with the Blass, but I did replace the front and rear sway bars on it, I did have to do some end link customization. Still chasing that charging issue too. I look forward to seeing your's some day very soon!
