Got the 92SE into the shop last night. :hyper: Chad (hotrodllsc) came down for most of the night to hit my buddies 95GT with the code scanner (problem: had 3.8 MAF :slap: )

Before:

Easy and quick - about 18 bolts - hour later

Damage: This Rad support is suppose to like perpendicular to the ground...but lucky for me it did not hurt the subframe :D Nothing a sawzal and a parts can won't fix.

Next step will be (besides fixing the support) clean under hood, probably C/H/I swap and might as well ditch the ABS to prepare for the SN95.

Here are my thoughts on the wheel well moldings: They look awesome as far as shape. They look crummy as far as being chrome. Send them out here and I bet for $60 I can have them powdercoated black.

I think its awesome that you are pulling one of these cars back from the brink of the crusher. "Remember, don't crush 'em. Restore 'em."

ESPECIALLY A 92SE!
I have to crush them all eventually - the parts cars only last so long before they are truely flatliners!

As for the moldings......thanks for the offer, I have 2 powdercoat guys that are vendors of the company I work at. Not to dis ya, but $60 sounds HIGH. I had RED done for $20 on swaybars/COntrol arms. But if you include shipping - it would be $60 I guess. :)

As for the rest of the car trim....having it powdercoated ALL...thinking of using LSC chrome trim to do it though, as then I don't have to worry about stripping or the old PC interfering with the NEW PC.

Sweet Dan, glad to see you getting to dig into it finally. If it stops raining this evening, I may start digging into my parts car. Not near as much fun as you will be having!

I would like to formally state here and now that I had no part whatsoever in that A/C line disconnect tool. I was completely against it and would nevAr condone such riggery.

lol, ok, so I used it to take off the A/C lines. So sue me. :dork:

Anyway, looks like you've got everything in order! I just sent off all my hot parts to Jet-Hot today. ooooooo I can't wait. :naughty:

I'm surprised they lasted that long. I had to replace the wires on my VIII just after I got the car (8 years old, not quite 50K miles...)

Good luck with the project!

Good job on the pump relocation, that looks pretty good. Are you thinking of relocating the battery too, at some point? Just curious. You're making some good progress already!
