As of Friday we are on the official entry list for this event. After three years the blue car will return although there's plenty of work to do to get it ready. It won't be pretty but it WILL make it to Fort Stockton.
Anyone willing to drive to Fort Stockton, TX in late April will be in for a treat. The best way to spectate is as a course worker. The cars range from bone stock grocery getters to full-on purpose built race cars (like Charlie Friend's 200+MPH Corvair). If this interests you PM me your phone number and we'l talk.

"Old Blue" continues to come together. Yesterday was a test drive with the Baumann controller programmed with their 4R70W normal RPM settings. (Still haven't been able to get the laptop to talk to the Baumann so with a jury rigged 12V power supply we did it with the desk top out of the car.) The engine runs sweetly and is as smooth as silk; very encouraging. The next major hurdle is getting navigation software and the associated wheel sensor installed.
