Noel,
The Mark VII has the same spines/grooves all the way around the hole for the steering shaft ! The 93-96 Mark VIII has splines with areas filled in forming flat spots ! They could possibly be filed out , and maybe fit ! The 97-98 Mark VIII has a Large flat spot !

thx for reply,i wonder if the clock spring would work if i could get the wheel to fit,i have seen some pics of the wheel on a mk7 but could not contact owner
