Today I ordered all the front control arm bushings (4) and 2 ball joints for my 92 SE. Ordered all the parts from Rock Auto as I usually do. Tonight I'm searching around the forum and find that there is all sorts of information regarding the correct and incorrect bushings and people generally having a hard time getting the correct ones. Has anyone ordered them from Rock Auto and they worked out OK with our control arms? I do plan on having a shop press them in for me as I have some extra control arms in the garage.

Ordered the following:

Raybestos 5651047B (x2)
Raybestos 5651171 (x2)

Take a peek at the sticky above on performance suspension parts. All the known numbers are there. I don't know the Raybestos numbers but the Energy Suspension urethane bushings (4.3144) are my preferred parts. Easy installation (DIY) and no NVH penalty with MUCH more precise handling.

I would say those parts are correct. I just did the front control arm bushings on my 92 two weeks ago. I used the MOOG K8495 kit list on the same page as the ones you ordered.

Any reason you chose to by the RAYBESTOS brand?

I have limited funds and had to buy other parts as well..

You know.. I just realized that the MOOG set includes both bushings so I paid more for the Raybestos ones.. oh well. It's not too much more.. haha

I haven't tried looking for those..

Hope to have all my front end parts next week.. I just ordered some brand new LSC spec air bags too so pretty much the whole front suspension will be new.

Funny how Strutmasters tries to convince you into converting to coil springs.. I got an email from them today advising there was a small problem with my order so I called them and they tried selling me coils instead.. lol

MOOG~ #K8637, this part# as listed in the tech interchange page is listed on Summit, but specifically it doesn't say for MK7, biggest car listed is for Cougar. Is this still the correct part for RUCA

And that is the no. on the box I have in the Basement.

Yes this fits the Mark VII RUCA.

Strange how Rockauto doesn't list this Mark VII application and a Amazon cross reference shows it as not fitting.

What was the dude supposed to do, press out the bushings? Definitely pick them up. If you have access to a press you can do this yourself. (Remember to put spacers between the sides of the arms to keep them from curling.) If you don't have a press I'm sure you can find a shop that can do it while you wait. Or you could always go to Harbor Freight and ask for a demo.
