Well if any of you remember this Lincoln, I bought it after it was in an accident.

Sorry to say the engine and tranny is in the process of being dropped in a Mustang.
The engine still runs strong. :)

I'm sure this thing was a blast to drive back in the day.
I was really looking for any info anyone had on the engine

What I do know is its a 331, T trim, afr heads and a Freddie Brown AOD.
Not sure just yet if they are 165, 185 heads.
I have no idea if its a stock block or what pistons are in it or the cam specs.
Any help will be appreciated.

Damn, I did not know the car was in a accident. I believe he had AFR 185 heads, I am 98 percent sure that was the heads on the motor.

Maybe try the link below to his info below and see if any of his contacts work for more info on the motor.

you may have to do some tweaking,
LSC brackets for accesories are different and AOD
is different length..

The AFR part number should be visible on the end of the head. That number will also tell you the size of the combustion chamber.

Wow.
I saw it in person maybe back in 2002, at the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA. I've got pictures around here somewhere. Though I'm sorry that it was in an accident, I'm glad that ~some~ of the vehicle was saved.

I have no background for you but I do wish you luck!

Thanks guys.

Hope someone might know who built it.
It would be nice to know the CR.

I'll post up when the project is complete.

You should be able to get a close approximation by doing a compression test (oil spray to seal rings). Enter the compression diagnostic tables with the average of all 8.

This gets you only part of the story. You can't know what your static CR is w/o knowing what pistons are in it.
Can't know what pistons are in it w/o talking to the builder or pulling the heads and pan off hoping to find a part number.

I know. But I'm picking up more and more info as I go along.

My old engine is not gone and the bullet is getting slowly put in.
I did email John and got little info. I sent him a few more emails but no replies yet.
Not enough to know CR and such.

1388 is a non-emissions (no EGR, no air pump) 58cc combustion chamber head. If the engine is out of the car you can tilt it and cc the cylinder/chamber without taking the head off.

Almost forgot about this thread.
So yes the Lincoln was stripped of everything being it was banged up pretty good.

The block was cracked and the FB aod was also messed up. So the good deal did not turn out to be that good :(
My friend had an old pure street block for us to use. A little better then a stock block.
Atleaset I know everything about the internals now. ;)

So this what the BLWN5SPD LSC
has morphed into. lol
331, T Trim (more then 12 years old) FB Aod 3.55 rear
Still has 36 lb inj, FMU and BTM
