So it's about a week after PT 2010 ended, but I thought I'd get the ball rolling on Power Tour 2011.

It is too early to know the whole route, but evidently the end point was announced.
It has been announced that Power Tour 2011 will end in Detroit on Friday, June 10, 2011.

Once the whole route is official, I will post it up.

See Ya.

I wish I had my crystal ball working (it seems to be like everything else here now), but you KNOW I want to go.

Unofficial scuttlebutt has the PT starting in Mobile with Montgomery as the next stop.
More to come when I get it.

It used to be that it always started where it ended the year before.
Then, in 2004, Green Bay treated us so poorly that Hot Rod officially announced they would never visit Green Bay again.

Anyway, barring major problems or scheduling issues, it starts where it finishes.

The Mobile post is from someone whe says he spoke with the Director of Downtown Devolopment and the Montgomery post came from someone who says it was recently announced at the Motosport Park.

So, we'll see.

Yah. Next year I am NOT going to repeat anything from the Hot Rod board until it is CONFIRMED.

My thoughts exactly.
I have to strongly suggest you find the time/money to do at least one full leg.

Here is the list of motels where we will be staying. As always, you don't HAVE to book where we are, but it sure does make things more simple.

**NOTE 1/27/11. It later came to my attention that the rates at this Residence Inn later skyrocketed. There was also a incentive to move because of events(see post farther down). The new Base Ops is noted at the bottom of the list**
-Fri/Sat June 3-4

Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

Notes:
-Fri/Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue and Fri are all Marriott properties. Best way is to go to www.marriottrewards.com and sign up (free). Make your reservations through them.
-The Courtyard in Nashville is ON Printer's Alley where we will find bars with live music.
-If you are Long Hauling, or doing the last couple legs, get your Muskegon reservations NOW. Rooms will get scarce.

If you have questions, ASK.

It has been brought to my attention that the rates at the Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral are somewhat high. So I took a look. It seems maybe "they" have caught on to what's coming to town because I do remember seeing those prices when I reserved mine.

While at the Marriott site I did a little digging
Residence Inn Melborne $99
Courtyard Melborne $69
Fairfield Inn Melborne $79

In any case, this pretty much solidifies my advice to get rooms reserved now.
The closer the time comes they awill ALL go up in price.

Later.
