Street Fighter, Rat rod, Hell yeah I love a car that carries that sinister or just plain bad a$$ don't mess with me look. To me a car is all about one's own sweat and tears. A project shouldn't be measured by the amount of money put in to it, but by the vision presented by the work in progress..I think it's cool to leave some work for another day and make a true driver out of what you've got. Some say a car is never done, but some people can spend so much on a paint job and interior and wheels that what they end up with is a too over the top car. I love a clean car don't get me wrong but I get crazy over a tuff looking car under construction...............Nice job Roy :headbang:

Thanks guys. :) I'm going to try to shoot the grille shell today. I'll post a couple of updated pics when it's done.
Seventycutlass s : There will definitely be some more underhood detailing soon. I can't wait to get that ugly-ass A/c compressor out of there.

Here is an updated pic. I just did the outer grille shell in black. I think it looks alot better black than when it was chrome but I also wonder how it would look in Red. That way the black paint would only be on the top of the sheetmetal. These mark VII's are tough to two-tone in the front. There really isn't a natural "break" in the sheetmetal to separate the colors. Sorry the pic is a bit grainy. I just snapped it in the garage. Probably should have opened the door. Duh.....

LOL. Too funny! :) Heck, if the car still had A/C it would probably look good with the compressor powdercoated to match the rest of the parts. Unfortuantely it's just 10 pounds of dead weight masquerading as an Idler pulley so its gotta go!
Thanks!

Yea i like the look too, what does the interior look like
The interior is a bit of a work in progress. The car had no headliner when i got it but i just scored a mint one at the junkyard last week. Originally it looks like the interior was all Dark red but I guess Ant was working on changing it over to black so right now it's a combination of Both colors. It kinda goes with the exterior theme though. LOL.

Hmmmm... I hadn't considered that. It might be interesting. Right now I'm in the process of doing a carb swap on the car. Ever since I got the car its had an intermittent "no-start" issue that has been driving me nuts. Each time I THINK I fixed it , it would come back. I was fed up with it and hate "electronic voodoo" in my Hot Rods. Almost all of the "modern Lincoln" has already been taken out of this car anyway, so I figured I'd go the last step. Out with the injection, in with a carb. So right now I have the injection stuff off the car for sale and I'm gathering my carb parts. I traded the 70mm Throttle body and spacer for a mint Holley 750 double pumper. It might be just a tad large for this somewhat heavy car but the price was right. I'll see how it works out. I'm also picking up a MSD Pro-billet distributor , 6AL and blaster coil tomorrow. That will take care of the ignition. I'm looking for a performer RPM intake and for the fuel system I'm going to go with a fuel cell and a Holley Blue pump. I'll post pics when I have everything done. It will probably be a couple of weeks though.

Looks classy Princess. When I had the top of my car in gray primer I was wondering what silver might look like.
I got my Holley blue pump , regulator and Fram cannister filter this week. Now I just need the fuel cell, fuel line, intake and throttle cable. I'm going to a swap meet this sunday. Hoping to find the intake there. Most likely I'll end up having to buy the fuel cell and fuel line brand new from Summit or somewhere unless I find someone at the swap meet that has a brand new one for a good price.
